Cat an artist in Hudson, Quebec enjoys many forms of art. Her more recent
endeavors being fine woodworking and mosaics. In the past, she has dabbled in watercolour,
folk art and acrylic painting but once she tried oils she never looked back. They are her preferred medium, sometimes using them on top of acrylic bases, but always using oils for the main body of her paintings.
Although she has taken some classes at Saidye Bronfman, and some in the West Island, she is mostly self-taught. She
favors a surrealist style with lots of vibrant colours.
Cat has tried her hand at a more realist look with quite a lot of success. She likes to try different subjects but prefers animals to paint because she likes to capture the look in their eyes!
Cat always painted just for pleasure until a few years ago when a friend and former colleague opened the Café Carambola restaurant in Hudson and invited Cat to decorate the walls with her art. She sold the largest one in just six days! That was just the push she needed and she has been painting and selling steadily ever since.
