Dynamic compositions and transparent use of brilliant colour are key components of Carole Lessard’s paintings. Constantly searching for bold subjects with high visual impact, her use of close-up views of objects of nature create a unique style in most of her work.

Possessing the ability to work with a variety of media including watercolour and acrylic on canvas have made her work unique.. Her love and control of the watersoluble mediums reflects her personal commitment to technical excellence. Her paintings were selected for many exhibitions at the Salon of the Société canadienne de l’aquarelle Québec division. She was also chosen to exhibit in the 1998 Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolours show in Toronto. In 1999, one of her works was awarded the juror and the public award at the Ottawa Watercolour Society. For many years, she has been invited as the official visual artist at the Canadian Tulip Festival of Ottawa. She received a trophy and was awarded the bronze medal for her work at the International Visual Arts Gala presented at the Maison des arts de Laval and at the Museum of Fine Arts of Montreal, Québec. In 2006 one of her paintings was selected for the Les Femmeuses exhibition Pratt&Whitney Canada’s main artistic event.

A native Montrealer, she presently lives and paints in Côteau-de-Lac. Carole Lessard’s paintings can be found in private and public collections in Canada and in the United States.
