I was born in Wakefield England in 1942, and moved to Canada in 1968, eventually settling in the small community of Hudson, Quebec.
My love of creating art started later in life. One day, about 5 years after retiring, I picked up a paint brush on a whim, and soon was hooked. Painting has become a fully absorbing diversion that allows me to release my emotions on the canvas.
I am a largely self-taught painter. I seek to improve through participation in on-line tutorials, under the guidance and input of several different artists. Improvement is a continuous goal.
I work primarily with acrylics, and love to play with shadow and light. Subjects range from abstract portraits to landscapes, and most recently I have being working on a series focusing on Trees.
