After 25 years as a full-time university professor of cultural history, I became a landscape artist after I retired. Over the last few years, I have exhibited my oil paintings at the bi-annual AHA exhibits in Hudson, St. Lazare annual exhibitions, Le Chenail Cultural Centre, Vankleek Hill Art Centre and the Musée de Vaudreuil. As an oil painter, I am inspired by the movement of light and colour in landscapes of sky, water and shores. The works of the Canadian Group of Seven and the French Impressionists keep me in awe.
