Residing in the rural town of Hudson, Quebec, my visual imagery has been drawn from a strong connection to the landscape, its diversity and abundance. Collage is often a starting point, with additional layers of paint and line used to create depth and interest. A glimpse of what goes on below the surface often emerges becoming a blend of textures and playful visual contrasts. A background in landscape design and ceramics has led to the exploration of themes including natural surface decay, microscopic wonders and the vibrancy of colour interactions. Additional themes include accelerated change and the visual language of mark making.
